The Service Parts Facilitator is responsible for oversight of parts functions (ordering, escalating, delivery, returning, and order filling) to support service operations including Technicians and Supervisors. The coordination of day-to-day operations between the warehouse, technicians and management, to enhance efficiency and profitability. This position creates a culture that delivers customer excellence with improved morale, communication and visibility.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Responsible to maintain professional behavior consistent with the Mission, Vision and values of WCAT.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Order parts for technicians ensuring lead times, fees and freight are appropriate situationally.
  • Follow up on backorders daily maintaining a wholistic view of timelines throughout the service department.
  • Minimize unnecessary expenses with an understanding of sourcing and freight tables.
  • Ensure communication of and compliance with all company human resources and safety policies and procedures.
  • Aid technicians and supervisors in the return process for cores and unused parts.
  • Serve as a primary contact between parts operations and service managers within the branch.
  • Communicate inventory needs based on forecasted work and historical demand. Work with the Parts Inventory Control Team to adjust/add inventory as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Two years Caterpillar parts knowledge or equivalent experience.
  • Two years warehousing experience.
  • Ability to read, write, interpret, convey, and receive information in written, verbal, and diagram form.
  • Ability to remain calm during emotional or escalated circumstances with customers or other employees.
  • Solution oriented mind set.
  • Strong time-management skills for self and others.
  • Ability to present information in group settings to train or inform employees or customers.
  • Willingness to relocate to any of our locations within the Oklahoma or Texas territory. (The WEC Moving and Relocation Guidelines will apply if a relocation assignment is required).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

Required travel up to 20%.
