Job Description

Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate need for an Outside Processing Service representative for the Corporate Outside Processing Department. The position will be filled at one of these Regional offices -West Chester, OH or in Novi, MI.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting the competitive price negotiation/bidding process managed through our Procurement office. This includes reviewing the price structure being implemented to support standardized pricing for all our processing and warehousing business.

  • Responsible for approving processing, scrap, and rebate invoices for those locations with invoices processed through Oracle.

  • Responsible for sourcing all CORP outside processing requirements. Define the appropriate rules based on the best processing alternatives.

  • Evaluate and recommend the selection of new processors or warehouses - including equipment, Quality systems, capacity, EDI capabilities, etc. Lead the effort in documenting the new processor setup process.

  • Responsible for ensuring each processor understands the requirements outlined in the Outside Processing Requirements and Quality Manual.

  • Ensures the processor has the proper access to the OP Website and Partner Center and understands how to use each system and access data.

  • Requests or assists in the corrective action plans from the processors and necessary follow-up progress.

  • Responsible for the financial restitution for processor fault claims on the CORP side.

  • Conduct Physical inventories with Internal Audits for selected processors each year.

  • Responsible for assisting in delivery or processing conflicts that may arise at an outside processing facility so that Cleveland-Cliffs can meet or exceed our customer expectations.

  • Monitors MTO Compliance reports and delinquent orders in support of improved delivery performance.

  • Responsible for monitoring the in-transit material, aged inventory and inventoryrotation at the processors.

  • Support company objectives and goals to meet the annual business plan.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidate will have a B.S. degree in business, a related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Previous experience should include problem-solving, multi-tasking, and working well under pressure.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to work independently; a self-starter.

  • Basic computer knowledge including Word, Excel, Power Point.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Commands (Blue) System.

  • Steel Industry Experience.
