Job Description
Processing Inspector
A processing inspector performs various inspections of both in process and finished processed parts.
Essential Functions:
- Determine and utilize appropriate inspection methods and instruments (micrometers, height gauges, calipers, Posi Tector Gauge)
- inspection of machined aerospace parts post shot peen, anodize and painted.
- Initiate nonconformance records and process parts not meeting requirements.
- Complete First Article Inspections to AS9102 and company/contractual requirements.
- Continually strive to improve inspection effectiveness and efficiently by identifying and supporting implementation of process improvements.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required Education:
- High School Diploma/GED preferred, but not required

- Regularly stand and walk throughout the facility, including all buildings and the manufacturing areas

- Constantly communicate verbally and in writing (English) using a phone, texts or other messaging
- Visual acuity to accurately read mics, calipers, or other precision measuring instruments; accurately distinguish colors
- Use hands and fingers to operate computer keyboards, measurement instruments, and manually examine parts

- Dust, smoke, fumes/vapors (occasionally)
- Extreme temperatures (occasionally)
- Hazardous equipment including forklifts, hand tools, cranes or other lifting devices, and other equipment used in a machine shop environment
The use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye and hand protection, and use of safety footwear is required
