Certified Station Instructor

$21.50 per hour

TYPE: Full Time | SHIFT HOURS: AM & PM Shift | MUST be able to obtain a SIDA Airport badge

Position Overview:

Provide initial and ongoing training to local station employees, including new hire orientation, customer service training, ramp training, harassment training, management concepts training and recurrent training for all employees as instructed by Quality, Training and Continuous Improvement department, Human Resources Department and or Management.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

* Assists station management by acting as the primary owner of all training-related items;

* Responsible for facilitating QAS and Customer-mandated classroom training;

* Oversees and conducts Customer, Regulator, and internal curriculums for practical (hands-on) training for job-related tasks;

* Ensures that all training is facilitated and documented in accordance with Customer, Regulator, and internal standards;

* Maintains reports and tracking of training currency requirements, and schedules recurrent training for employees before their qualifications expire;


Required Skills and Experience:

* Must be at least 18 years old;

* High school diploma or equivalent preferred;

* Maintain and treat all information as confidential;

* Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives;

* Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English;

* Must be able to verbally direct in English;

* Superior organizational and communication skills, to include the ability to facilitate instructor-led individual and group training sessions for all skills and learning levels;

* Must have knowledge of and experience in the aviation industry and compliance;

* Must be able to pass all required background and clearance requirements;

* Must satisfactorily complete annual Inland Group Elite Trainer Training, in addition to any customer or regulatory-mandated training;

* Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft applications;

* Holds equipment certifications and operates equipment safely;

* Experience implementing new processes, programs, policies, and procedures;

* A valid driver's license is required for this position.


Work Environment:

* Indoor office environment with potential for remaining seated extended periods of time;

* Continuous use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse;

* Warehouse - physically strenuous, prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to noise (may be excessive at times), safe but potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures and humidity, in and around heavy moving equipment;


Physical Demands:

* Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; speak clearly and hear efficiently;

* Must regularly lift and/or move up to, in excess of 25-55 pounds, and must have the ability to climb 15-foot heights for work;

* Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
