Applies basic knowledge of production control and kitting processes as prioritized by the production schedule, and advanced knowledge of material handler processes and skills.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
- Plans and accomplishes a complete range of assignments and tasks, to include expediting of parts, status and control of inventory, equipment, material, tools and services. Ability to participate in production /scheduling meetings as required to discuss material issues, ensure customer delivery dates and business targets are met. Perform data maintenance and maintain notes/dates in the system regarding status and issues associated with repair and production.
- Coordinate with production supervision to print and release production orders as per the schedule. Liaise with scheduling to notify when schedule adjustments may be required based on SAP/MRP inputs. Assist with expediting critical shortages through receiving and warehouse.
- Assist operations in problem solving issues as they pertain to labor and materials:
- Review pick list, TR dates and stock requirements/allocations to ensure material issues from stores are completed in a timely manner according to job priorities and material availability, liaising with the warehouse staff and manager.
- Control and processing of structural component swaps/RERE process and ensuring system transaction and documentation traceability.
- Work with production to ensure material is properly consumed and charged on jobs. Identify opportunities to consume existing (slow moving) stock.
Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications and departments other than the primary assignment. |
Minimum Qualifications | Education Requirements
Minimum High School or GED. Preferred 2 Year / Associate Degree. If applicable, a combination of experience and training may be substituted for the education requirement.Experience Requirements 1-2 year(s) Supply chain. Skills and Competencies - Communicates effectively in written, verbal and electronic forms with internal and external personnel.
- Operates standard office equipment and demonstrates competency in the use of standard and specialized software applications such as MANMAN, Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Reads and interprets engineering drawings, engineering process specifications and planning documents.
- Communicates effectively in written, verbal and electronic forms with internal and external personnel.
- Understanding of MRP/ERP system.
- Understanding of upstream and downstream business processes.

Must be able to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week, if required. Additionally, those who work at NORDAM Repair Division must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
