Job Description
Basic Function

HF Sinclair Midstream located in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Maintenance Planner. The Maintenance Planner conducts maintenance assignments and duties for the Organization under limited supervision. Increases the efficiency of the maintenance process through the creation of safe and cost effective job plans and work schedules depending on location. Secures necessary resources to perform maintenance activities when necessary.

Job Duties

(functions considered essential as defined by ADA)

  • Reviews, coordinates and assigns groups/resources to daily work authorization in the assigned maintenance system, collaborates with additional groups and supervisors for scheduling work
  • Creates and maintains complex maintenance schedule for assigned area/groups
  • Identifies materials and services required to perform maintenance tasks and creates full work scopes within work orders
  • Reads and interprets P&ID's and other drawings
  • Acts as liaison with other departments, regional supervisors, planners and schedulers for scope, procedure, and procurement
  • Ensures proficient operations of some or all of the following software (depending on location): SAP, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, other required software suites.
  • Obtains quotes for and procures necessary materials for maintenance activities
  • Verifies drawings and approval sign offs for in-kind equipment replacement
  • Initiates MOC's for not in-kind replacement of equipment
  • Interacts with purchasing department on all bid items for material specifications
  • Acts as point of contact for vendors for job scope and scheduling requirements
  • Coordinates internal labor as needed for project work schedules
  • Coordinates with product scheduling for downtime as needed for maintenance activities on HF Sinclair Midstreamassets
  • Ensures management is fully informed of any potential shortfalls/problems in daily assignments as needed
  • May be asked to perform special assignment work
  • May be required to perform various tasks on behalf of the company as required

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion

Experience

A minimum of seven years of job-related experience is required.

Preferred Experience:

Maintenance Craft/Pipeline Maintenance experience is preferred.

Education Level

A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Preferred Education:

Trade School or Maintenance Craft experience is preferred. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred depending on location. Experience in SAP PM is preferred.

Required Skills

Knowledge of pipeline and terminal operations and craft knowledge. Intermediate level leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication. Basic reading and writing skills and the ability to perform basic level mathematical calculations. Proven interpersonal skills. Self-starter and safety sensitive. Troubleshooting skills and ability to function effectively in a team atmosphere. Knowledge of safe work practices. Computer skills necessary to operate assigned maintenance system, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer. Ability to lead and train a small group of employees. Multi-tasking and team orientation skills.

Work Conditions

Office and field based and with up to 10% by land and air require. Petroleum pipeline or terminal, warehouse/plant environment, and out-of-doors environment and driver based environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, electrical shock, and working in confined spaces. Periodic overtime required. Required to respond to related emergencies and be available after hours during critical business situations depending on location. Subject to all temperatures, weather and varying road conditions.

Physical Requirements

Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 30lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 50lbs, climbing up to 200ft, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates, valid state driver's license and proof of insurance, perceiving color differences, ability to wear personal protective equipment (beards not permitted), and strenuous physical activity.
