Job Description
Basic Function

Under moderate supervision and in accordance with established HR policies and procedures manages multiple HR systems and independently resolves moderately complex issues related to those systems. Performs audits of HR systems to ensure compliance with HR policy and applicable regulations.

Job Duties
  • Carries out the Companys policies and procedures, understands and follows state and federal laws pertaining to Human Resources (HR) and creates all needed reports, spreadsheets and letters
  • Works with managers, as well as internal and external compensation resources on new job/position development
  • Conducts and carries out recruiting process (i.e., initial screening, interview scheduling, offer letters)
  • Supports assigned subsidiary(s) employees, including responding to employee inquiriesfor benefits, retirement, performance, attendance, policy, procedures, employee relations issues/concerns, etc.
  • Updates all applicable HR files and inputs and maintains data in HRIS, payroll system, and other electronic systems
  • Coordinates and facilitates local orientation, enrollment and informational meetings for employees; and maintains and distributes benefit publications and materials
  • Maintains, administers, and coordinates various Company programs and processes
  • Ensures work processes are in alignment with Center of Excellence (COE) procedures, legal and supervisor expectations. Proposes solutions where issues exist.

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their manager, as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion

Experience

A minimum of three years of directly related Human Resource experience required.

Education Level

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Human Relations, Business or related work experience in lieu of the degree (four years of related work experience) is required.

  • Ability to handle confidential information including Protected Health Information (PHI) and all applicable compliance issues in relation to relevant HIPAA regulations

Preferred Skills:

SAP HCM experience specifically in Personnel Administration, and/or HR Certification is preferred.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

No Supervisor responsibilities

Work Conditions

Office based with up to 10% travel required by land or air. Subject to varying road and weather conditions.

Depending on assigned location, requires frequent visits in petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, and out-of-doors (depending upon assignment).

Physical Requirements

Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 20lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 10lbs, and depending on assigned location the ability to wear personal protective equipment.
