SCHOOL BASED THERAPIST, DAYSPRING


The Therapist provides professional behavioral health clinical services to clients. The Therapist is an important part of the treatment team and provides case consultation and assistance to paraprofessionals associated with the client. Services are provided in school-based settings.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide all services and functions within the ethical standards of their profession and within Code of Conduct.

  • Adhere to all company policies for employment.

  • Provide professional clinical services to clients including assessment, referral, treatment planning, counseling, crisis intervention, discharge planning, and follow-up care in the schools, office, and community settings.

  • Collaborates with the treatment team to ensure proper coordination and delivery of prescribed interventions and objectives, as presented in treatment plan.

  • Ensure client receives individualized and age appropriate therapeutic interventions for individual, group, family, and case management services, as prescribed in the treatment plan.

  • Complete all clinical and administrative documentation in a timely and ethical manner and in accordance with policies.

  • Attend and actively participate in professional staffing sessions with the Clinical Supervisor. Be available for individual supervision as required by the Clinical Supervisor or leadership team.

  • Provide case consultation and assistance to paraprofessionals associated with the client.

  • Meet billable productivity requirements.

  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Shall have training and demonstrate expertise regarding the treatment of persons with mental health issues.

  • Thorough knowledge of caseload management and rehabilitation methods, principles, and techniques as they relate to mental health treatment services.

  • Detailed knowledge of the problems encountered by persons with mental health issues.

  • Considerable knowledge of the methods and modalities, as well as the legal requirements and court procedures related to treating mental illnesses.

  • Knowledge of supervisory and training techniques and practices used in a mental health treatment setting.

  • Aptitudes to develop, coordinate, and evaluate services within assigned program.

  • Capable of communicating ideas clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing to produce clear and concise reports.

Experience and Education Qualifications:

  • Graduate degrees in Psychology, Social work, Counseling, Marriage and Family, Human Relations, or related degree.

  • Must be licensedor candidate for licensure within their professions by their respective Oklahoma State Boards.


Employment Requirements:

  • Successful completion of background check, including criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect.

  • Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.

  • All training requirements including Relias Learning at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.
